Jacob Javits Convention Center Expansion
The $1.3 billion expansion of the Jacob Javits Convention Center spans two city blocks, adding 1.2 million square feet of state-of-the-art facility space. This massive undertaking created 90,000 square feet of new exposition space, 200,000 square feet of meeting and pre-function areas, and a four-level truck marshalling structure. E-J Electric played an essential role in the project, installing a new electrical service building with three medium-voltage substations to power the entire complex. The project, which achieved LEED Gold certification, was recognized as a National Design-Build Merit Award winner by the DBIA.
